Brittany shares with us having a visit from Elder Richard G. Scott. He talked about the Holy Ghost and how we need to strive to have it in our daily lives- how important it is to ask for guidance in our personal prayer and the importance of Family prayers. He blessed those learning a new language, as an Apostle with the Gift of the Priesthood Keys with the gift of tongues - to understand the language and be able to communicate with the people. Britt said she was completely taken over by the Spirit from head to toe. It was the most amazing time in her life.
She also shared that they have been studying the Atonement. From the Bible dictionary, All are covered unconditionally as pertaining to the Fall of Adam....the Atonement is conditional, however, so far as each person's individual sins are concerned, and touches everyone to the degree that he has Faith in Jesus Christ, repents of his sins and obeys the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Preaching in Spanish has been a little tough, expressing her feelings, but after Elder Scott's visit she feels GREAT! She said if she wasn't suppose to speak spanish, she wouldn't have been called to El Salvador. She wishes us all well and sends her love to all of us!
PS - Austin also says hi LOL - how would she know....

Britt leaves for Guatemala Tuesday 4/26 at 8pm, she changes planes in LAX- Los Angelos and departs at midnight30, arriving in Guatemala at 6 in the morning :) She will then depart for El Salvador on May 23rd!
